Tangmo (born Pattarathida Patcharaweerapong, Thai: ภัทรธิดา พัชรวีระพงษ์ on September 13, 1984) often credited as Pataratida or Pattaratida, or Pacharawirapong or Patcharaveerapong is a singer, model and actress from Thailand. Her name “Tangmo” is a nickname that means “Watermelon” in Thai. Tangmo attended elementary school at St. Paul’s Convent Primary School. She has also attended Ramkhamhaeng University and studied Fine Arts at Dhurakij Pundit University. Tangmo was Miss Teen Thailand in 2002.
Tangmo was discovered walking through a shopping mall, when she was only in fifth grade, where a talent scout handed her his business card. Since 2002, as a model she has appeared in print and media advertisements for over 13 brand names in Thailand. Tangmo has also either starred on, or appeared in over twenty-one shows on Thailand’s Channel 7, and has been on the cover of over fifty magazines including the January 2012 cover of Maxim Thailand. In 2006 Tangmo starred in the film Ghost of Mae Nak, which is one of Thailands oldest ghost stories, dating back more than a century. Tangmo has won the Best New Actress Award, and the Star Entertainment Actor Award for Actorfor Best New Drama, both for Warmth Of Love.
In 2010, Tangmo boycotted the media by refusing to do interviews, citing that the mass media was often too angry and aggressive.
On April 5th, 2007, during her drive home from filming, a fatigued Tangmo was in a near fatal car accident, driving her Volkswagen convertible into a bus, after falling asleep at the wheel. She was not wearing her seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She required several stitches with injuries to her ear and neck area, and also reportedly suffered from one or more broken teeth. -Wikipedia
