Marie Avgeropoulos (born June 17, 1986) Marie Avgeropoulos is a Canadian actress, best known for her roles in I Love You Beth Cooper and Hunt to Kill with Stone Cold Steve Austin. As of 2011, Marie has also had small parts on Television shows such as Human Target, Supernatural, Harper’s Island, The Guard, The Troop, Fringe, Smokescreen, Eureka, and Hiccups. Her movie roles also include 50/50, Walking The Halls, and This Means War.
Marie’s break in the entertainment industry came when she was 21 as a result of playing drums. While studying broadcast journalism in Ontario, a friend alerted her to a casting call in Vancouver for a clothing commercial looking for drummers. The opportunity landed her an agent and after appearing in various national commercials she caught the eye of director Chris Columbus, who hired her for her first feature role in I Love You, Beth Cooper.
Marie has received theatre training at Studio 58 in Vancouver and Second City in Toronto among others, and is a Deans List and Honor Roll graduate. She has also received extensive voice training. Marie enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. Marie splits her time between Vancouver and Los Angeles. Marie has a self proclaimed “potty mouth” which she calls her “Thunder Bay Accent”. It’s too bad we here at Smartasses don’t understand Wall Street a little better, because if we could use our power to pick out the next Hollywood Hottie, and apply it to the stock market, we’d be some rich sumbitches. Remember, when we found Megan Fox before she was Megan Fox? Well we had a few up-and-comers on our Top 100 Sexiest Women List in 2011, but ladies and gents, first up is Marie Avgeropoulos, the girl who fell backwards into a role in I Love You Beth Cooper, indirectly due to her ability to play drums- and make no mistake, she will probably be the most scorching hot of them all. She’s already had a few guest spots on television shows like Fringe and Human Target, but it was in Hunt To Kill with Stone Cold Steve Austin where she really showcased her abilities. For Avgeropoulos, we doubt she’ll have to do much of the hunting from here on out, and it’s probably going to be her looks that do most of the killing. Let’s keep it real- chicks who play drums are pretty dishy, and we’re admittedly in love with that swarming noggin of follicles as too.
