Kylin Munoz (born December 27, 1990) born to April and Michael Munoz, is an American athlete best known for playing volleyball as an Outside Hitter for the Washington Huskies. She has one younger sister, Kendal. Her mother April, (formerly April Topham) also played volleyball for the Huskies from 1989-90. Kylin was Homecoming Queen at her high school, Monroe High. Munoz wore #15 in high school, and wears #24 for the Huskies.
Originally she signed a letter of intent to play for Brigham Young University. As a result of transfering to the University of Washington, she was forced to sit out the 2009 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Munoz earned several accolades in 2008 for her senior season at Monroe, including being named the 2008 Gatorade Player of the Year for Washington. She was also named All-American and ranked as the No. 6 senior nationally by PrepVolleyball.com. She was also an AVCA 1st Team All-American and a Volleyball Magazine Top-50 recruit as a senior. Additionally, she was a Seattle P-I Volleyball MVP as a senior, two-time Everett Herald Player of the Year, Seattle Times All-Area selection, and a three-time First Team All-WesCo.
