Kristin Laura Kreuk (born December 30, 1982) is a Canadian actress and producer, best known for her portrayal of Lana Lang in the American television series Smallville. Kreuk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her father is Dutch and her mother is Chinese. Kreuk attended Edith Cavell Elementary School and Eric Hamber Secondary School in Vancouver.
Kreuk planned to study psychology, environmental science, or forensic science at Simon Fraser University, when a casting director for the CBC TV series Edgemont contacted her secondary school, looking for an Asian girl to play Chinese Canadian, Laurel Yeung, since the show which was being shot in Vancouver. Kreuk’s drama teacher convinced Kreuk, who had no previous acting experience other than in musicals at her high school, to audition for the role, which she won. After shooting the first season of Edgemont and getting herself an agent, Kreuk landed the lead role of Snow White in the TV movie, Snow White: The Fairest of Them All. After, Kreuk’s agent sent an audition tape to the screenwriters of Smallville, which like Edgemont and Snow White, was also being shot in Vancouver. In 2009, Kristin Kreuk signed on for a multi-episode arc in season three of NBC’s Chuck.
In 2003, Kreuk appeared in her first feature film, with a minor role in Eurotrip. In 2009, Kreuk starred in the film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, in which she played the title character. In early 2010, Kreuk signed onto the Japanese horror film Vampire. In 2010, Kreuk also starred in the music video I Heard by musician Hill Zaini.
Kreuk with Rosena Bhura, of who Kreuk met on the set of Partition, started a production company called Parvati Creative Inc, which focuses on “human-centric films as seen through a female lens”. Parvati’s first production is a short film starring Mark Hildreth and directed by Rick Rosenthal called Blink, of which Kreuk is listed as an executive producer.
As of late 2011, she bought a home in Los Angeles with her actor boyfriend Mark Hildreth. On her weblog on the Girls By Design website, she stated that she doesn’t eat meat. Kreuk trained in karate and gymnastics at the national level until high school, but quit in eleventh grade due to scoliosis. Kreuk was the longest-serving spokesmodel for Neutrogena. -Wikipedia

Why we think she’s hot:
Every girl on our list has her zealots. But for Kristin Kreuk, our 2007 Smartasses Sexiest Woman Alive, her fan base is a little more unique. Rather than just ogling her swelter, Kreuk-buffs hold her in a regard that additionally carries a little bit of protectiveness to it- as if she’s your best friend’s sister, or the one chick who on the block likes video games. But let’s face it, Kristin roams in the sci-fi world. The comic book world. The world of the continuity-police. You know the type. They’re the ones who’ll gladly point out how Romulans couldn’t have had warp drive in 2160, because they didn’t have it in 2266, or that Kristin’s picture here is actually about five years old. Protecting from atop their medieval, Worlds O’ Warcraft, guard tower perch, in the name of truth, justice, and constancy… is what they do best. And that’s okay. We’re just not sure we’re the same. Case and point, we don’t even discuss Kreuk’s ‘short-hair’ years (we call them the dark years) of 2008 and 2009. In fact, now that her hair is nice and long again, we prefer to conveniently forget how our loyalty to K-squared waned a bit during those 48 months, and just pretend the whole thing never happened. Kinda like Scott Bakula’s ‘Enterprise’ pretending Benjamin Sisco never referred to Kirk as the first captain of the fabled star ship. Shhh…
