Julie Banderas
Julie Banderas (born Julie E. Bidwell on September 25, 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut) is an American television news correspondent and weekend anchor for the Fox News Channel. She replaced Laurie Dhue as the anchor of Fox Report Weekend after Dhue left FNC on March 15, 2008.
Banderas is a daughter of Fabiola R. (possibly née Banderas), a Colombian woman, and Howard D. Bidwell, a descendant of John Bidwell. She has a sister named Melissa. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College.
Banderas began her career (using her maiden surname) at WLVI-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. She went on to serve as a local news anchor for WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia; WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut and WNYW in New York City before joining Fox News in March 2005. She appears to have begun using “Banderas” as her professional surname at WNYW. Sources disagree whether it was she, a superior at WNYW or both that opted for her name change.
Banderas’ husband, Andrew J. Sansone, a member of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity and founding president of both Concrete Media and Big Apple Channel, proposed marriage to her with a message in a bottle while they were clam digging on Long Island Sound. She announced their engagement during her shift at Fox News Channel on September 21, 2008. They wed at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church on August 29, 2009. Their daughter Addison Melissa was born on April 21, 2010. They currently reside in New York City. -Wikipedia
