Jessica Karen Szohr (born March 31, 1985) is an American actress best known for her role as Vanessa Abrams on The CW series Gossip Girl, and for starring in the critically acclaimed 2010 horror film Piranha 3D, where she was awarded the Breakthrough Actress in Film award for her performance. Szohr is of Hungarian and African-American descent. She was born in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, a place she describes as a “family-oriented small town”. The oldest of five children, Szohr played soccer, served on the student council, and was part of the cheerleading squad while in school. In May 2011, it was confirmed that Jessica would not be appearing as a regular cast member on the upcoming 5th season of Gossip Girl, and that her character Vanessa would be cut along with Taylor Momsen’s.
Szohr started modeling at age six. Her first national campaign was for Quaker Oats at age ten, and she also appeared in print ads for Kohl’s department store. Subsequent modeling gigs followed, including prints for Crate & Barrel, Mountain Dew, Sears, Jockey and JanSport. Szohr graduated from Menomonee Falls High School a semester early and moved to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career. She told Seventeen magazine that she has “almost moved home like five times.”
In 2008, Szohr was in a relationship with her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick. She was also rumored at one time to be in a relationship with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Szohr has an affinity for snowboarding, hiking, yoga and soccer and is a huge Green Bay Packers fan. – Wikipedia

Why we think she’s hot:
It’s too bad she was only 16 at the time, because if it were us, instead of Estella Warren, we would have been casting this chick as Mark Wahlberg’s sexy sidekick in the 2001 remake of Planet of The Apes. In our opinion, if there’s anyone out there who can pull off an updated version of Linda Harrison’s Nova, it’s Jessica Szohr. When People Magazine named her as one of their best dressed in 2010, they described her as having ‘gorgeous looks and downtown style’. While there’s no denying that Jessica is indeed well-adorned and stunning, we would argue that the appeal of Szohr is more a case of her being… a ‘hot mess’. Often, she is spotted waltzing about New York or L.A. with what appears to be not even a hint of make-up, frequently flirts with a genesis of dreadlocks, and has eleven tattoos on her left arm. Quite frankly, she strikes us as the kind of gal who could care less whether the bathroom door is open or closed, likes to roam around your bachelor flat on Saturday in nothing but your Friday afternoon oxford, and who always, whether the makeup’s worn off or not… still looks sexy the next morning. Put it all together in the same package as those two enthralling hazel eyes, and very quickly- the keyword in ‘hot mess’ definitely becomes ‘hot’.
