Jennah DeVries (born October 2, 1989) is an American athlete, formerly playing volleyball as a setter for the New Mexico State University Aggies, where she is majored in individualized studies with a minor in family and child science.. DeVries left New Mexico State University in 2012. She is the daughter of Dwight and Paula Devries, and her hometown is in Sedalia, Colorado.
DeVries attended high school at Douglas High School in Castle Rock, Colorado where she was part of the National Honor Society and graduated with honors in May of 2008. She played for the Front Range Volleyball club as a setter. She helped her team to a 15th-place finish at nationals in 2007, a fifth-place finish in 2006 and a national championship in 2005. DeVries was also an All-American Award winner at the 2007 AAU Championships.
As a freshman, after playing in 120 of 121 sets in 2008, DeVries earned 2008 All-WAC freshman team honors. She finished the season second on the team in assists and service aces with 584 and 29 respectively, averaging 4.87 assists per set. DeVries started the season off with a season-high 25 assists against nationally ranked Oregon in the State Farm Illini Classic in Champaign, Illiois. As a sophomore, DeVries played all 103 sets in 2009 and earned AVCA All-American honors after leading the Aggies with 10.14 assists per set. She finished the season with 1,044 assists while she added 216 digs and 51 kills. DeVries also earned AVCA All-West Region Team honors, as well as first team All-WAC honors and WAC All-Tournament team honors. She was also an Academic All-WAC selection and posted eight double-doubles on the season. DeVries marked at least 25 assists in 24 matches and tallied at least 40 assists in nine matches. She posted a career-high 66 assists against Idaho as the Aggies won in five sets at home. Her work on the court helped her team to a top-50 national ranking in assists as the Aggies posted 12.70 assists per set. As a junior, DeVries played in 109 sets for New Mexico State in 2010 and earned AVCA All-American honors as she was named to the honorable mention team. It was the second consecutive time she earned the honor and became only the second New Mexico State volleyball player to earn multiple All-American honors. She finished the year second in the WAC and 31st in the nation with 11.06 assists per set and was a first team All-WAC selection. She was second on the team with nine double-doubles with one of her more impressive performances coming against San Jose State when she tallied 51 assists and 15 digs.
