Jana Rae Kramer (born December 2, 1983) is an American actress and country music singer, best known for her role as Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill. Kramer was born in Detroit Michigan, and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Kramer graduated from Rochester Adams High School in 2002. On December 22, 2009, Kramer got engaged to Johnathon Schaech. The couple met on the movie set of Prom Night. They wed on July 4, 2010 in Michigan. On August 9, 2010, it was announced that Kramer and Schaech had divorced after a little over a month of marriage.
Jana Kramer got her start in acting in 2002. In 2003 she starred on an episode of the daytime soap opera, All My Children. That same year, she made her film debut in The Passage. Her more notable films include Click, Return of the Dead: Necropolis, and Prom Night. Kramer played Noelle Davenport on Friday Night Lights and Portia Ranson on 90210. In 2009, after briefly playing a sorority girl interested in Turtle in Entourage, she became a series regular on The CW’s One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre. She played the role until January of 2012.
In February 2011, Kramer signed with Warner Brothers Nashville Records. Her digital single, I Won’t Give Up, was released to iTunes and Amazon.com in February 2011 and was featured on an episode of One Tree Hill. The song reached number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her first official single, Why Ya Wanna, was released to country radio in late 2011. On January 18th, 2012, Why Ya Wanna broke records for a debut artist, when 55 country music radio stations added the song to their playlists, making it the most added song ever, since the inception of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart.
In Romania, during the filming of Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis and Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave, Jana got so sick that she couldn’t finish filming and had to be flown back to the states. Why we think she’s hot:
It’s hard to believe Jana Kramer has been on our Top 100 Sexiest Women List since a time when there were literally, only two photographs of her available on the Internet, but it’s true- it was in the background of the Adam Sandler movie Click, where we first noticed Jana Kramer. Not that we deserve any credit, but we do like to think that Jana making our Top 100 Sexiest Women list back in 2008 (What can we say? Click was a rental) as well as the three ensuing years, sure didn’t hurt her notoriety at all. Here we are now, seven movies and three hit TV shows later, and Kramer’s radiant skin and chocolate brown eyes are making us fall in love with her today, as much as we were back then.
