Carly Foulkes (born August 4, 1988) is a Canadian fashion model, best known for replacing Catherine Zeta Jones as the spokesperson for T-Mobile. She quickly became a TV icon in 2010 – 2011 for wearing a pink summer dress in her T-Mobile 4-G television commercials, designed to spoof the Apple computer commercials of the same genre. Foulkes has been described as a “picture-perfect brunette.” In 2011 Foulkes was cast as “Retro Girl” in the FX TV series Powers, and been the target of a Virgin Mobile ad campaign against T-Mobile.
Foulkes’ parents are British, although she was raised in Toronto and attended Loretto Abbey. She spent summers in England while growing up. She began modeling in the Toronto area at age 13. Then, after high school, she moved to New York to model for agents. Subsequently, she found modeling work in Singapore and Europe. After returning to New York to model, she began to pursue acting. A Los Angeles Times writer described her look as Anne Hathaway meets Kim Basinger and noted that, as of early 2011, she was still often confused with fellow Canadian Jessica Paré. She has done advertisements for Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie and Fitch, Artistry Cosmetics, Express, Gilly Hicks, Kohls, Macys, Nieman Marcus, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Although she was originally only expected to perform in two or three commercials, as of December 2011 she had produced a dozen commercials with more anticipated. Despite the association with pink dresses due to the T-Mobile ad campaign, she claims not to wear pink in her personal wardrobe. She claims to be a video game junkie and also describes herself as adept at skateboarding.
She has also been a popular sex symbol since the ads started. After months of email support, Foulkes was included in Smartasses Top 100 Sexiest Women List on March 17th, 2011, being ranked the #34 Sexiest Woman Alive, as well as the SI.com feature “Hot Clicks” on May 18, 2011.

Why we think she’s hot:
Carly Foulkes has been modeling for quite awhile, just ask Ralph Lauren. But chances are you’d never heard of her until she showed up on your television screen, wearing that cute little pink dress, and peddling T-Mobile’s 4-G service. For us… based on a face that rivals that of 1990′s supermodel Christy Turlington, and boasting a beautiful balance of both cute and sexy, Carly continues to remain high on our radar. Carly also joins another elite group for Smartasses- not unlike Jana Kramer in 2008, who we were the first to spotlight during a time when it was close to impossible to find even ten photos of her online; and Megan Fox who we listed at #6 on our 2007 Top 100 Sexiest Women list before any buzz began about Transformers- Carly is yet another who has exploded upon the world, after we shined a little light her way. Are we the reason she’s so popular? Hell no. But, we are pretty proud of the fact that, aside of her bio here on Smartasses and her making our Top 100 last March, we also created the very first fan page for her as well. Go team.
